South African off-road endurance racer, Taye Perry, is in celebratory mood after completing another Dakar Rally event in Saudi Arabia on Friday, 15 January 2020.
This year, Perry went into the competition as navigator for driver, Brian Baragwanath, in the car category. In 2020, she completed the race in the bike category, together with fellow South African, Kirsten Landman.
Perry took to her Instagram account to share her excitement, saying: “We did it!!! Huge thank you and well done to Brian, the team and everyone involved who all worked together to make this possible!”
The pair endured various challenges throughout the 12 stages of the race and were ecstatic to cross over the finish line in 32nd position overall.
The public joined in the celebrations on Facebook, congratulating the South African’s for proudly flying the flag high.
