2012 SPAR gsport Awards Hall of Fame inductee Ntambi Ravele has made a lasting impact on women’s sport in SA since first being appointed as a sport administrator in 1995, and this pioneering former teacher has taken a firm interest in advancing women’s participation in sport ever since.

Blown Away by Birthday Blessings
The gsport4girls initiative celebrated its sixth birthday in Joburg on Monday, and the messages of support and encouragement was literally overwhelming as telephone calls, sms, facebook and twitter dedications flooded in throughout the day between stunning coverage on 2OCeansVibe online streaming radio and Joburg’s No.1 Hit Music Station, 94.7 Highveld Stereo.
Dorothy Tsotsobe Inducted into gsport Hall of Fame
Eastern Cape women’s rugby pioneer, Dorothy Tsotsobe has been honoured for her selfless contribution to the development of the women’s game in South Africa. She was unveiled as the 2011 gsport Hall of Fame inductee at the 6th Annual gsport Awards, at the prestigious Wanderers Club on Monday.
Caster, Pietie and Noko nominated for gsport Awards
Athlete Caster Semenya, hockey star Pietie Coetzee and football ace, Noko Matlou, will battle it out for top honours at the 2011 gsport Awards, which takes place in exactly one month’s time, on 1 August 2011, at the prestigious Wanderers Club in Illovo, Johannesburg.
