Kenya’s Agnes Ngetich Smashes 10km World Record

Agnes Ngetich, representing Kenya, achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new women-only world record for the 10km distance, completing the Transylvania 10km race in a time of 29 minutes and 24 seconds during the World Athletics Elite Label road race, part of the Brasov Running Festival in Romania on Sunday.

The South African women’s hockey team put up a fight, despite their 2-0 loss to India in the last round of the pool stage at the FIH Nations Cup in Spain. They will look ahead to the 5-8 playoffs where they will play Italy.

Nolene Conrad Focusses on New Business Venture

South African athlete, Nolene Conrad, is raising money for athletes affected by the Covid-19 lockdown while working hard on establishing her newly launched online coaching business. She tells Celine Abrahams that the postponement of the Olympics has given her more time to recover from injury and work to qualify for the Tokyo Games in 2021.
