The Sasol Women’s League was again abuzz with 47 results in across the nation this past weekend, and by the looks of things, the teams were bringing the heat in their respective streams, on Saturday 8, and a few fixtures on Sunday 9, June, 2024.

Sophakama Ladies Football Club and Nav Galaxy Ladies find themselves on the same points as the Eastern Cape Coast side has not been in action for the past two weeks, both currently on 22 points tied at the top of the log, Sophakama Ladies with two games in hand. 

Executive Ladies are well at the top of the standings in the Eastern Cape Inland stream after bagging a 4-0 away win over Coastal United Ladies FC in Mthatha Stadium on Saturday, to lead the log by 9 points, on a total of 27 points in nine matches. 

Eastern Cape Peach Lovers in second place enhanced their 5-point lead over third-placed Ayakha Stars FC with a solid 3-1 victory over Coastal United Ladies in Lusikisiki. 

In Gauteng Stream A, it was the top two going head-to-head, Mito Ladies played to a nill-all draw against the University of Johannesburg on Saturday, and Mito remain a point ahead of their opponents, with both sides on 11 results in the bag. 

Over in Stream B Raycon Ladies succumbed to a 3-2 loss to Wits University FC, as Croesus Ladies FC got a win 2-1 over Nick Taurus FC. Raycon and Croesus are level on 25 points after the weekend’s results. 

The Northern Cape streams finally resumed after a break since the end of May. NC Consciousness Ladies FC had a very slender one-point lead at the top of the standings. 

They weren’t about to bag any points against Bodulong FC, as they went down 2-0 loss on Saturday. Bodulong now finds itself in second place. 

In Stream 1B, Diamond Ladies FC lived up to their name and put in a sterling performance against Rising Stars Ladies FC, securing a 4-0. Their closet competitor Royal Wizards were utterly magnificent as they managed to score a whopping 14 goals against KHS Ladies. 

Free State, KwaZulu Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and the Western Cape Streams will be back in action this coming weekend with fixtures taking place between the 15-16 June, 2024.
