The Sasol Women’s League has seen several teams qualify for the Provincial Playoffs. Gauteng’s Mito Ladies and FC Raycon Ladies FC, as well as KwaZulu Natal’s Newcastle Chess FC and Ezemvelo FC, were among the first to book their playoff places.

In recent weeks Sophakama Ladies and Executive Ladies from the Eastern Cape along with Mpumalanga teams Sasol Juventus Ladies and Super Strikers Ladies also joined them, and not forgetting Northwest University FC.

In the Free State, Ixias FC of Stream A continues to lead the standings after their 3-0 win over Grasslands Ladies, which sees them secure a five-point lead over second-placed Metsimaholo Ladies FC who lost 2-0 to Inter Madrid Academy on Friday, 9 August. Ixias needs just one more point to secure their provincial playoff berth.

Stream B sees Kovsies FC secured a big 9-0 victory against Derby, which means they remain top of the log and maintain a lead over the Central University of FS. The university side also earned a 4-2 victory to lie three points behind, when they beat on TTKay FC.

KZN’s Stream B might be wrapped up but Ezemvelo is not resting, they recorded a 6-nil win over Darnall FC as they extend their unbeaten run.

NC Consciousness Ladies FC are keeping their place at the top of the standings thanks to a narrow 1-0 win over Black Spurs on Saturday, 10 August 2024. Second-placed Bodulong FC are three points behind but didn’t play over the weekend in the Northern Cape’s Stream A.

Royal Wizards and Diamond Ladies FC of Stream B still can’t be separated on points but thanks to a better goal difference the Wizards can lead the standings.
