South Africa’s women’s wheelchair basketball team continued their dominant performance at the African Para Games in Accra, Ghana, securing another victory on Sunday, 10 September 2023, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Team South Africa extended their remarkable winning streak with a resounding 44-20 victory over DR Congo for a remarkable streak of five consecutive wins.
Kicking off their campaign with a commanding 64-6 victory over Zambia, South Africa showcased their dominance on the court. The momentum from this resounding win spilled into their second match against Ghana, where they triumphed with a scoreline of 51-31, once again proving their mettle.
Their third challenge came in the form of Morocco, and South Africa maintained their stellar form, securing a convincing 40-20 win, firmly establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the tournament.
On Friday, they continued to maintain their flawless winning record, securing a convincing 48-15 victory over Kenya. Their performance at the Eden Heights Sports Complex showcased both comfort and clinical precision, further solidifying their dominance in the competition.
Team SA remains undefeated in the tournament, emerging victorious in all five of their matches.
