Northern Cape Record Victory on Day 3 of CSA U16 Week

Northern Cape recorded a convincing 167 win over SWD on Day 3 of the CSA U16 Girls Week in Gqeberha.

The Northern Cape side posted a competitive 213 all out after 43.1 overs with Nonofo Gaolese top scoring with 42 runs and Remoneilwe Gabobonwe picking up 3 wickets. 

Gauteng have secured three consecutive victories with an easy win over Eastern Province. Gauteng bowled EP out for 27 runs and successfully chased the score down in 3.2 overs. 

KZN Coastal and Free State both completed their innings on 132 runs. 

Coastal’s Veronique Duplooy picked a 5-fer, finishing on 5-26. Georgia Erasmus from the Free State side scored 40 runs off 70 balls and Erica Gate unbeaten on 40 runs.

Kei suffered defeat at the hands of Limpopo after being bowled out for 88 in their run chase. Limpopo’s Carli Botha scored a half century for her side and Sophie Motloutsi’s bowling figures were 4-19. 

Mpumalanga picked up their second win of the week against KZN Inland, winning by 5 wickets.

Humaira Ebrahim picked up 5 wickets for her North West side, who claimed victory with 6 wickets in hand over Boland. 

Meanwhile, Western Province were successful in their 62 run chase against Northerns, after limiting the side to just 61 in 19 overs. 

Likuye Hela led her Eastern Cape-based side, Border to victory as she finished on 5-7 against Easterns.
