SA Basketball Look to Bounce Back to Winning Ways at Africa Champs

The South African women’s wheelchair basketball team will look to bounce back to winning ways after suffering first loss to Algeria at the IWBF 2022 Africa Championship Qualifiers, on Monday, 24 January.

The national team coach, Ntombi Mthombeni, spoke on her side’s 45-32 loss to the Algerians, saying: “I feel bad about the loss because we can do so much better. Hopefully our next game we will play better. We hope for a win.”

The South Africans will battle Ethiopia on Wednesday, 26 January.

 

IWBF 2022 Africa Championship Qualifiers Fixtures and Results:
24 Jan: South Africa 32-45 Algeria
25 Jan: Algeria v Ethiopia
26 Jan: South Africa v Ethiopia
27 Jan: South Africa v Algeria
28 Jan: Ethiopia v Algeria
