The South African Women made it two wins from two against Namibia, claiming a 2-0 victory in the second Test at Elkanah House High School in Cape Town on Tuesday, 21 July 2026.
The match was a significant occasion for Ongeziwe Mali and Marlise van Tonder, who both earned their 50th international caps, while Baylee Engelke made her senior international debut.
South Africa made the perfect start when Hannah Pearce netted her third goal of the series in the second minute with another superbly placed drag flick.
The home side were unable to build on the early breakthrough, however, as Namibia did an excellent job of disrupting the South African rhythm and spoiling their attacking opportunities. The visitors earned a couple of penalty corners of their own, but the South African defence held firm, and the score remained 1-0 at half-time.

Kayla de Waal came close to adding a second from a penalty corner after the break, only to be denied by an excellent save from Namibia goalkeeper Petro Stoffberg.
De Waal would not be denied for long. Fine work from Stephanie Botha created the opportunity in the 33rd minute, and De Waal showed tremendous composure to finish and double the South African advantage.
South Africa closed out the win to move two up in the four-match series, but they will be disappointed with the quality of their conversion after creating several promising opportunities.
The third Test takes place on Thursday, 23 July 2026 at 17h00 at Elkanah House High School.
