South Africa’s best-performing tennis player, Lizaan du Plessis, confirmed her status among the country’s best after winning two trophies on the weekend, when she emerged winner of the Singles Draw, and also took the Doubles trophy with Lisa Marshall.

Number 1 seeded Lizaan du Plessis defeated Megan Sporndli of Gauteng East 6-2 6-3 on Friday in the SAA National Championships being played at the Wanderers Tennis Club, and progresses to today’s final.
