After two days of fixtures, the Telkom Netball Championship is shaping up to be another hard-fought contest. The event, which runs from 7-11 July 2025 at Hoërskool DF Malan and Laerskool Totius in Bellville, Cape Town, showcases the emerging talent of netball in the country.

It is Tshwane A that tops the standings on the U19A log with a 38-25 win over the Cape Windelands. The team from the Western Cape were winners in 2023 and find themselves in third place on the log.  Johannesburg A are second in the standings after a 44-32 victory against Harry Gwala. The two top sides have won all four of their games but the team from Jozi has a marginally lower goal average.

In the U19 B1 A Green division it is Dr KK B and eThekwini who occupy first and second place respectively. The team from the North West secured a 42-17 triumph against Vembe to lead the standings thanks to their superior goal difference, as both teams have won three of their four fixtures. Dr KKB also secured a win over the Kwa-Zulu Natal team to solidify their place at the top.

Ekurhuleni A are sitting pretty at the top of the U19 B1 B Purple division and are currently unbeaten. A 31-22 win over Royal Bafokeng A saw them cement themselves as the best in the division so far. King Cetshwayo completed a big 62-33 victory over Pixley but are second having suffered just one defeat. U19 B2 A Green was another division that saw two teams tussling it out at the top.

Buffalo City were too good for ZFM as they sealed a 49 – 26 victory while Ekurhuleni B were 48-16 victors over Nkangala Bare. Both teams are yet to succumb to defeat and are sitting pretty in first and second place. Mopani will be hoping they can hold on to top spot as they lost 41-30 to Amajuba. They have played one more game than their opponents in the U19 B2 B Purple division. Amajuba’s victory now sees them in second having made it three from three wins.

Tshwane B are in a commanding position at the top of the standings in U19 B1 A Yellow as Cape Town A are their closest rivals in second place. Things are a lot tighter in U19 B1 B Pink with four teams vying for the top honours. The two top teams faced one another Johannesburg B (log leaders) and West Rand A battled it out but played to a 30-all draw.

U/19 B2 A Yellow sees Sekhukhune at the top of the log having played one less game but securing all three victories including a 38 – 19 win against Bojanala. eThekwini B are in a close second place thanks to a 13 – 43 Royal Bafokeng B.
