The International Hockey Federation has released the official pools ahead of the 2021 FIH Junior Women’s Hockey World Cup, which kicks off from 5 December, in Potchefstroom.
Participating countries have been divided into four groups as Netherlands who were runners-up in the previous edition are in Pool A alongside Zimbabwe, South Korea, and debutants, Ireland.
England, who is making their 9th appearance, are in Pool B together with Belgium, Canada, and Uruguay who are also making their maiden appearance in the prestigious youth tournament.
Defending champions Argentina have been placed in Pool C which includes India, Japan, and Russia.
Hosts South Africa are in Pool D alongside Germany, Spain and USA.
Six games are scheduled per day during the group stages. The preliminary rounds end on the 9th, while the classification rounds begin on the 11th.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals.
