Another week and more incredibly proudly South African women in sport stories have made headlines globally.
On Friday, 7 February 2020, Banyana Banyana forward, Jermaine Seoposenwe, became the third South African footballer to sign a contract with a European club after joining Real Betis in Spain.
Springbok Women’s international player and captain, Babalwa Latsha, chatted to gsport’s Celine Abrahams in an in-depth interview about her new lease on life playing for Eibar Women’s Rugby Club in Spain.
Latsha touched on the different lifestyle that she is accustoming to, the language barriers, and how she is aiming to take full advantage of her opportunity.
Speaking of rugby, the Springbok Women’s team will be aiming to get their preparations in order for the 2021 Rugby World Cup after the dates were announced for the global showpiece that will be played out in New Zealand.
On Thursday, 6 February 2020, golfer Lejan Lewthwaite birdied the first extra hole to win the SuperSport Ladies Challenge play-off against Tandi McCallum for her second Sunshine Ladies Tour trophy at Sun City’s Gary Player Country Club.
