The Safari Sevens returns this weekend at the Nyayo National Stadium in Kenya after a year’s absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The annual rugby sevens tournament features international teams, professional and amateur clubs, as well as invitational teams, universities, and school teams.

The tournament will be played over two days in a round-robin format, with the winners determined after four rounds.

Kenya, who have won the Safari Sevens title nine times, will be fielding two teams in their determination to successfully defend their title.

Uganda will be joined by Zimbabwe, and Titans Women’s Academy from South Africa.

The game between Titans Women and Uganda Lady Cranes will signal the start of the Safari Sevens on Saturday, 30 October 2021.
