Leading brands are backing women’s sport and playing their part to change the game while women in sport continue to own their success globally, contributing to a formidable gsport Annual List (#GAL2020) of Newsmakers for September.

Both Momentum and Telkom extend their respective deals with Cricket South Africa and Netball South Africa, while Mitchum and Engen enter into new deals to uplift women’s sport.

Over the past month, international netball stars, Karla Pretorius and Lenize Potgieter, proudly represented South Africa in the Suncorp Super Netball League in Australia, as they aim to leave a mark on the global stage.

Meanwhile, the South African Football Association and Squash South Africa announce game changing moves to power their respective women’s programmes.

#GAL2020 is the second edition of gsport’s Annual List event, which honours women’s sport newsmakers on a monthly basis, culminating in an annual gathering in December 2020.
